Your gift is matched, dollar for dollar.
Two Clackamas County families are matching every donation up to $100,000 through December 31. Whatever you give today counts twice.

Every gift — at any level — moves this hospital closer to reality and closer to saving lives in Sierra Leone.
Where your gift goes
Kapok Care is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 93-2076674. Your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law, and you will receive a receipt for your records.
No one at Kapok Care draws a salary. Our eight board members serve as volunteers. Kapok covers their travel to Sierra Leone — those trips are how Sierra Leoneans communicate what is needed, how Americans document the end results, and how this stays a partnership rather than a wire transfer. Since 2000, more than 100 trans-Atlantic flights have been a large part of why the clinic works today.
Everything else goes to the hospital: construction, equipment, solar power, and the supplies and initial salaries for the Sierra Leonean doctors and nurses who will open it.
